NACUA features case represented by McQuaide Blasko attorneys
McQuaide Blasko shareholders Janine Gismondi and Katherine Allen represent the defendants in a case recently featured in the New Documents and Cases briefing of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
The case involves a former university employee who filed a lawsuit against the university on various grounds. Among other things, she claimed that the university violated her due process rights by telling her prospective employers that she was not a team player and had not met a key expectation of her position. The federal court hearing the case dismissed the employee's claim, ruling that the statements allegedly made about her were not sufficiently stigmatizing to implicate her due process rights.
Ms. Gismondi and Ms. Allen are members of McQuaide Blasko's labor and employment law practice group.
